| HDR is High Dynamic Range photography. HDR allows the photographer to combine at least 3 perfectly matched images together with different exposures into one photo. The multiple exposures are needed to capture the full light range (EVs) that your eye sees but the camera sensor cannot. The multiple images that are captured are combined by software designed to let the photographer "tone map" the images as they are combined. The bi-monthly Car Show in the local strip mall parking lot created an excellent opportunity for using HDR to capture the variety of the "car guys" show n' tell meet. Great fun...check out the results. |
